This collection draws its inspiration from the 15th century tradition of ballet dance, which stems from the Italian word "ballare," which means "to dance." Toktam created ballerinas in two graceful poses to replicate the elegance and the theatrical ambiance of what ballet truly is. The detailed movement of the body and arms as well as the intricate detailing of the draping of the dress, face, and hair capture the essence of a true realistic ballerina.

A pair of white gold ballerina earrings. The ballerinas dangle from a blue sapphire stud, one is in a passé relevé pose while the other is in pointe pose. The body of the ballerinas are made from white gold while their tops are covered in brilliant round diamonds and the skirts in round blue sapphires.
